Our mission

Care shouldn’t wait on paperwork.

Praxigen exists to help healthcare providers get care approved faster — without losing time and revenue to prior authorization.

The problem

Prior authorization is quietly breaking care delivery.

Every week, clinic staff spend hours fighting payers for approvals their patients already need — chasing faxes, re-submitting notes, tracking deadlines, and appealing denials. That time comes straight out of patient care, and the delays land on the people who can least afford them.

We spent months talking to practices, and we kept hearing the same thing: the process is opaque, the rules change by payer, and small teams are left to absorb the burden. It’s not a clinical problem — it’s an infrastructureproblem. So we’re building the infrastructure.

From the founder

Why I’m building Praxigen.

I’m Maya — I started Praxigen as a student at the University of Michigan. I didn’t set out to build prior-authorization software; I set out to understand why getting patients the care they need is so much harder than it should be.

[ Maya — this is your space. Share the moment or experience that made this personal for you: who you saw struggle with the system, what you felt, and why you couldn’t let it go. A few honest sentences here will mean more than anything else on this page. ]

The more practices I talked to, the clearer it became: the people doing this work care deeply, and they’re being buried in administrative friction that has nothing to do with medicine. Praxigen is the tool I wished those teams had — one that does the tedious, repetitive parts well, so clinicians can spend their time on patients instead of paperwork.

We hold ourselves to a simple standard: be genuinely useful, be honest about what the technology can and can’t do, and never cut corners with patient information. Everything we generate is built to be reviewed by a human, grounded in real, cited sources.

Where we’re going

A grounded knowledge layer for getting care approved.

Most approvals are winnable with the right documentation, mapped to the right payer’s actual criteria. Praxigen is building a structured, cited knowledge layer — payer rules, clinical evidence, regulatory deadlines, and a practice’s own outcomes — so every request goes out as strong as it can be.

We’ll never promise guaranteed approvals; that wouldn’t be honest. What we promise is to help you prepare the strongest, best-supported case for the care your patients need — and to keep getting better every time a denial teaches us something.
